1. Fundamentals of digital learning design
This badge is awarded to people who have taken the first step in the SSSC’s digital learning design programme and demonstrated their knowledge of the fundamental principles of digital learning.
This Badge is designed to establish your knowledge of the fundamental principles of digital learning and that you can apply these principles to real world examples to evaluate the effectiveness of online/digital designs to either support or enhance learning. The badge also requires reflection on how you might will apply the positive elements in the designs you evaluate in your own work and, highlight the elements you’d avoid applying to your designs.
The module materials and activities will introduce you to the underlying principles of digital learning design: the psychology of learning; the cognitive processes and principles underlying the learning process; media mix in digital learning; an adaptable framework for evaluating and/or building digital learning experiences etc.
