The Importance of the Toothbrush
You will examine the appropriate toothbrush choice to perform adequate removal of plaque from the teeth for yourself or someone you support.
After the learning you should be able to:
Select the most suitable toothbrush size for effective plaque removal from all the tooth surfaces.
Examine the recommended texture of the toothbrush bristles for effective plaque removal from the tooth and gum area.
Recognise when it is time to discard and renew your toothbrush.

Step 2: Complete the reflective writing to receive an Open Badge micro-credential (requires registration to log in and reflective writing to upload). To do this, think back to what you learnt in the e-learning module:
- In your own words, describe to us what a healthy mouth can look like (75 words minimum)
- Tell us three things you learned about the toothbrush that surprised you and why (50 words minimum).
- Tell us how you will use what you learned in your day-to-day work or personal life (25 words minimum).
- Tell us what you did to share what you learned with others (25 words minimum).
