This badge relates to chapter 7 - 'Understanding behaviour' of the Personal Behaviour Support e-Book.
This badge relations to chapter 7 of the Positive Behaviour Support e-Book and will introduce you to understanding behaviour. It will give a description of how to consider behavioural challenges in context and the importance of being aware of the impact trauma may have had on some people.
The aim of the chapter is to introduce ways of understanding behaviour, using the ABC model and to highlight the best ways to use ABC charts to identify functions of behaviour.
To be awarded this badge, you must:
Write an ABC form for a situation you came across where there was a behavioural challenge.
Think about everything you have learned about setting events, antecedents and consequences and use this to fill out the ABC form as fully as possible.
Submit this along with learning activities 19-21 from this chapter to apply for the open badge for this chapter.
You need to achieve both the Getting started with Open Badges and Writing evidence for Open Badge applications badges before applying for this one.
Evidence for this badge can be provided in written, audio (mp3) or video (mp4) format.
The evidence you submit will be viewable by anyone who you show your badge to. Do not include confidential or private information within your submission.
