5. Connecting with other learners
This badge is awarded to people who understand why it is important to connect with other learners and how they can go about doing this.
Just because you are learning on your own doesn’t mean you don’t need to or can’t connect with other people who are also learning. In this badge, you’ll explore your options for connecting with others and reflect on why this might be necessary to get the most out of your learning.
To earn this badge you will need to:
- watch our short video Connecting with other learners (3 minutes)
- tell us, in your own words, why it is important for you to connect with other people during your learning (50 words minimum)
- tell us about three methods you have of connecting with other learners or colleagues and how you use these make sure you are getting the most out for your learning (100 words minimum)
Applications that do not meet these criteria or the prerequisites below will be returned.
You must achieve both the Getting started with Open Badges and Writing evidence for Open Badge applications badges before you apply for this one.
You will need to write a statement of at least 150 words or provide a link to an audio/video equivalent answering both questions asked in the criteria above. The evidence you provide will be viewable by anyone who you show your badge to, please do not include confidential or private information within your statement.
