CI SES online workshop #2 participant
This Open Badge is awarded to people who participate in part two of a Safe and Effective Staffing workshop offered by the Care Inspectorate.
The Care Inspectorate’s Safe Staffing Programme’s vision is to ensure that in care services in Scotland there are the right people, in the right place, with the right skills at the right time working to ensure people experience the best health and care outcomes.
A programme of training and development is being offered to the sector to help enable this.
A person who holds this badge will have participated in a half-day online workshop covering:
- the Health and Care (Staffing) (Scotland) Act
- the model for improvement
- Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA) cycles
- project characters
- data and measurement.

To be awarded this badge, you must:
- participate in part two of the Care Inspectorate’s workshops covering Safe and Effective Staffing (3.5 hours)
- tell us how the event helped develop your knowledge and understanding of the topic and your responsibilities (100 words minimum)
- tell us how you intend to apply this knowledge in your day to day practice (100 words minimum).
Your application will be returned to you with a request for further evidence if it does not meet all the above criteria.
None. You do not need to hold any other badges.
You will need to submit a reflective account, of at least 200 words in response to the questions asked in the criteria. This should be written in the first person and focus on your own learning and actions. You can write your statement directly on the badge application form or paste a link to your own blog or portfolio.
We will also accept an audio or video submission if you prefer.
The evidence you submit will be viewable by anyone who you show your badge to. Do not include confidential or private information within your submission.
