Supporting Unpaid Carers
The aim of this learning module is to provide our health and social care workforce with an understanding of ways to support unpaid carers including available resources.
The Module Covers;
- What support is available for unpaid carers?
- The benefit of support for unpaid carers and the person they care for.
To achieve this Open Badge you will need to:
- Complete the module Supporting unpaid carers on NHS Education for Scotland’s platform, Turas. You will need to log in or create a free account to see the modules.
- Tell us three things you have learned about supporting unpaid carers and why this is important to you (100 words minimum).
- Tell us what carers services are provided by local Carers Centres and Young Carers services in your area and why they are of benefit to unpaid carers (75 words minimum).
- Tell us about two national organisations who provide support to unpaid carers and why they are of benefit to unpaid carers (75 words minimum).
- Tell us about at least one thing you will do to increase awareness of carer support across your organisation (50 words minimum).
- Please attach a screenshot of your pre and post self assessments.
