ELC Thing 10 – Collaborating and influencing: how do I exercise leadership in working with others?
Your leadership will often be apparent in how you work in partnership with people who use your service, as well as colleagues from your own organisation and other agencies or sectors.
This badge is awarded to people who have:
- worked through Thing 10: How do I exercise leadership in working with others?
- provided evidence of their learning through reflective writing.
This is part of the 23 Things ELC Leadership programme.
To earn this badge you must:
- work through Thing 10 of 23 Things ELC Leadership
- write an account of at least 200 words.
We will decline Open Badge applications without a completed reflective activity.
Before you submit applications and evidence for any of the 23 Things ELC Leadership Open Badges, it is recommended that you achieve these two Open Badges first:
Getting started with Open Badges
Writing evidence for Open Badge applications
You may also find it helpful to complete Things 1 – 4 before starting Thing 10.
Complete all of the the activities as described in Thing 10 and write a statement (minimum 200 words) on what you have learned about collaborating and influencing as fundamental skills for good leadership practice.
This should include reflection on how your own practice and leadership behaviours have been collaborative and have influenced others in achieving favourable outcomes.
