2. Applying the evidence base for effective learning
This badge requires you to design a learning resource to provide learning on a topic of your choice which illustrates the application of the principles of one or more of the models covered in the What works? Applying the evidence base for effective learning module of our Digital Learning Design programme.
It’s not enough to apply technology to learning and hope that it’s effective. The materials and activities for this module examine the evidence base for teaching and learning approaches that work and can be applied in the design and development of digital learning.
This is the second badge in our Digital Learning Design programme.
To earn this badge you must:
- complete our free What works? Applying the evidence base for effective learning module (7 hours minimum)
- design a learning resource to provide learning on a topic of your choice which illustrates the application of the principles of one or more of the models covered in this module (7 hours minimum)
- write a reflective account to accompany this resource which demonstrates (a) the links between the models of learning presented in the module and your learning design and (b) your thoughts on future/further application of the models chosen. (1,000 words minimum)
Applications which do not adequately demonstrate these criteria will be returned.
