SCMA Childminders: Child-Led Planning
Completing this Open Badge will enable participants to develop their understanding on the importance of and having support to design and develop a practical planning system that is appropriate to their setting and responsive to the children’s needs.
Childminders should be able to demonstrate
· how planning can support children’s development and enrich their experience.
· that they have child led planning and individual care plans to meet the needs of children in their care.
To earn this badge you will need to:
- have completed the SCMA Child Led Planning CPL workshop or completed the SCMA Child Led Planning eLearning programme
Tell us the following:
- What is your understanding of the importance of planning for children’s development and how you can support this?
- Explain what the term Child-led Planning means in practice
- Tell us how you will use what you have learnt on the course to improve and develop your practice in relation to Child-led planning
