Nutrition in Care Settings – Food Fortification
This Open Badge is designed to equip people with practical skills to combat malnutrition. The focus lies on identifying signs and symptoms of undernutrition, understanding the fortification of food and drinks, and applying this knowledge in a fortified milkshake activity.
Given the high prevalence of malnutrition risk among people in care settings, these skills are crucial in ensuring positive outcomes. Your participation in this learning series will significantly contribute to the enhanced well-being of the individuals under your care.
Developed in collaboration with NHS Tayside’s Allied Health Professions Clinical Educators and NHS GGC Care Home Team, we are grateful to NHS Tayside’s Nutrition and Dietetic Service for providing access to these learning materials.
