Positive Behaviour Support #6 – Active Support
This badge relates to chapter 6 of the Personal Behaviour Support e-Book and will introduce you to the importance of Active Support as a key part of PBS. It will describe the benefits of Active Support for people with learning disabilities and how it can increase participation and engagement in activities.
The aim of this chapter is to explain the four core principles of Active Support, and to help you think about how you can use Active Support in your practice.
To be awarded this badge, you must:
Use your responses to learning activities 16-18 in this chapter to write an account of between 200 and 300 words on how you plan to use Active Support in your practice.

- How could you use the ideas of Every Moment Has Potential and Little and Often?
- What type of support will you consider?
