SSSC learning challenge: October 2023
This badge is open to people who are enrolled in the SSSC learning challenge. If you are not eligible yet and would like to take part, please complete the Challenge participant badge to enrol.
With this Open Badge, you are free to choose both the topic you learn about and the source you learn from. It’s your opportunity to get recognition for learning that isn’t already covered by any other SSSC Open Badge.
Events: There are no webinars planned this month. Come and say hello on the challenge discussion forum instead.
To achieve this badge you must:
- put your SSSC registration number and name of your employer at the top of your evidence submission or your Care Inspectorate service number if you are a childminder (Required)
- tell us about the topic and learning activity you have chosen (50 words minimum)
- tell us about three things you learned and why each of these is important to (a) you and (b) people who use your service (150 words minimum)
- tell us how you will use what you learned in your day to day work to develop and improve your practice as a social service worker (150 words minimum).
There is a maximum word count for this badge of 600 words.
To help write your submission, you can download a template with these questions in Open Document Format (ODT) to open in a word processor like Microsoft Word, Open Office or Apple Pages.
Your application will be returned to you with a request for further evidence if it does not meet all the above criteria or if it is not clear which of these questions you are answering within your evidence.
